The experience

The electric fat-bike follows the tide line on the Plage des Sables d’Or and reaches the blockhouses without using the road. The electric bike and the classic bike cover the same story along the coast, from Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer to Colleville-sur-Mer. Every outing is led by a cycling guide who comments on the seafront, the blockhouses and the bunkers.

Programme

  1. Meet-up at the meeting point, safety briefing and bike handover.
  2. Grand Tour: crossing by fat-bike or by bike, following the low-tide window.
  3. Petit Tour: 2 h format, limited to the seafront and the blockhouses.
  4. Blockhouse stops: archive projections and the story of the landings.
  5. Mid-route refreshment break, then back to the meeting point.
